KJ WINTER COLLECTION

Kevin Jenne is a prolific artist in Montreal and his new collection came from an AHA!moment,

when he threw ice and snow at his canvas one day in frustration.

There has never been an art collection more Canadian…

The mix of old and new artistic styles is elevated with 3-dimensions of ice and snow and natural oil scents that smell of pure Canadiana!

I’m happy to showcase KJ while protecting his Trademarks and business.

Cobalt blue highlights against barn door red and yellow accents come together to represent divine distress.

A tribute to a workshop built KJ’s father, behind their family home. A metal shop that was filled with tools and material allowing him to explore many creative projects. The exterior with its peeling paint and distressed look needed change. In the summer that KJ turned 14 he decided to scrape and repaint the building and it remains beautiful to this day.

Golden-Light

Golden Light

This first piece of the series is reminiscent of light on gold against grey-blue rocks accented by magenta shadows, was imagined from a memory of a family vacation when KJ was a boy.

Swimming in an ice-cold river on a summer day, the river bed was covered with mineral rocks and as the sunlight moved through the water causing every metallic surface to shine. Hours were spent exploring and witnessing the ever-changing light regardless of the cold. A blissful memory captured in paint.

The green-blue glow and orange texture against dark purple shadows. The nature of the painting is like a topographical map, signifying a time when hiking in the Appalachian mountains as a teenager with friends ill-prepared we spent the night above the treeline during a snow storm.

The painting represents the bliss of the warm morning sun after a wet cold night.
